The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic and operational leadership for APS, driving its mission, financial sustainability, and organisational growth. The CEO is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, strong governance, and building an engaged and inspired workforce. This role requires a mission-minded leader who embodies Christian values and fosters a culture of excellence and unity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion APS’ strategic vision, inspiring growth and alignment with the organisation’s mission and values.

  • Drive operational excellence across all centres, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and full regulatory compliance.

  • Lead with financial stewardship, strengthening sustainability and unlocking new opportunities for growth and impact.

  • Cultivate meaningful and trusted relationships with key stakeholders: Diocese, Parishes, Board, Regulators, Parents, and the broader pre-school education community.

  • Energise and empower the Senior Leadership Team and staff, fostering a collaborative, hightrust, and high-performance culture.

  • Exercise bold and visionary leadership, making informed decisions that advance APS’ long-term success.

  • Strengthen and enrich APS’ organisational culture, championing values-driven education and inspiring excellence across all centres.

  • Provide transparent and strategic updates to the Board, ensuring alignment and shared accountability for success.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years senior leadership experience, preferably within early childhood, education, or social service sectors.

  • Strong financial acumen with proven success in financial turnaround and driving organisational growth.

  • Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and manage complex relationships (Diocese, Parishes, Regulators, Parents, Board).

  • Deep understanding of, or commitment to learning, the early childhood regulatory landscape in Singapore.

  • Ability to lead with purpose, build followership, and foster unity within a faith-based mission context.

  • Track record of making difficult decisions with clarity and conviction.

  • Mission-minded leader who exemplifies Christian values and inspires others to do the same
